Why does my brand new LCD plasma tv kind of look like crap?

Today i just bought a brand new Toshiba LCD Plasma tv, and it looks like crap when i watch satelite on it, and also when i try to play my ps3 on it and still same results..do i not have good settings on it or..? i mainly use my tv to play call of duty online as well.. PLEASE HELP!

because u bought a mirror not a tv silly.
you bought a plasma. plasmas are going the way of the dinosaur.
Never heard of a Toshiba LCD plasma TV. What do you have? Do not thinkToshiba makes a plasma. I think you did buy a mirror.
Standard Def look horrible on a HDTV. You have to upgrade your Sat box to one that offers HD outputs.
With your PS3 – I suspect you are using a yellow composite cable or a SVideo cable – these are both standard def. Upgrade to HDMI cables or HD Component cables and then go into the PS3 dashboard and set the video output to 1080.
