There is no “best” per say ; as long as you stay with the major brands, you should be okay.
I suggest:
Philips
Sony
Samsung
JVC
Panasonic
LG
Go and see which picture looks best for you. Remember, it is hard to tell in an electronic store as each unit may not be calibrated correctly. Make sure you’re not under a lot of florescent lighting, the darker, the better.
I really like the Samsung, it’s an amazing looking TV, the series 6 although not the newest, it goes up to 9 i believe, is a beautiful TV. My brother has the Sony W series, and it’s nice as well, but not as nice as the Samsung series 6 which has a higher contrast ratio.
