which 42″ LCD HD TV is better: Vizio or Westinghouse?

But of your choices the Westinghouse is actually a nice TV for the money. Basically the most bang for the buck is most important. Look for features you like. Are the remote and menus intuitive? Then check out the picture and viewing angles. Other than certain brands with the reputation for short life, such as Samsung, they’re pretty much the same. And then after weighing all the options, LG.
ok so why dont you want a name brand one, as you say? except for price there should be no other reason for not getting a better qulity tv. because thats what you get when you pay more for a tv, better quality. better quality parts, better construction, better picture. especially in hdtvs you really get what you pay for. but any way. id pick westinghouse. they are my #1 cheap tv of choice. i personally would not get one that big. you will really notice the inferior picture. but this is your investment not mine im just giving my experienced opinion. good luck
In my opinion Vizio has a sharper image and is much better looking in every way. The Vizio has a clearer picture and better viewing angles, Not too bright and better shades of black. Westinghouse is not bad either, is a well built tv but doesn’t quite match up with the Vizio.
NEITHER…I wouldn’t buy either one…NO PARTS and NO SUPPORT on either one…..
For low end, Vizio is getting a lot of praised for its picture quality. As far as reliability, both are not well know for dependability.
