My family just bought a Sharp 46″ 1080p LCD tv. Would it be ok to play PS2 on it?

it is a 52 inch lcd 1080hd tv with 4hdmi and more
i found it at a store for 1230 brand new
if you have please leave a rewiew of you experience and problem you had with it

I just got a 26″ LCD TV and a Playstation 2 with Guitar Hero 2 and would like to hook it all up in my trunk so we can play games at football tailgates? What is the best way to do this? I was thinking about a cigarette lighter hookup but I don’t think it can power both at the same time. Any Ideas?
