LCD HDTV Buy Now

We have had our TV for about 15 months now. When we are watching tv it all of the sudden started powering off for about 15-20secs and the green power light just keeps flashing. It kicks back on after the 15-20secs. Can anyone give us advice on what this might be? Just today we saw the lamp blink red on the front of the tv. Is this a lamp problem?! Any help would be wonderful!!!

when i plug my tv in, it does not turn on, instead the standby light on the front of the tv flashes as if its coming on and then goes. i have tried plugging it back in many times but cannot find a solution to the problem and i do not want to pay to have it repaired, any help i can get to try and fix this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I guess there are no LCD TVs which have digital audio out. Are there any other method to derive digital audio from the LCD TV so that I can hook it up to my 5.1 channel AV receiver? LCD TV speakers really suck. Some LCD TVs have variable audio out (RCA jack). This will be of some help, but again this is analog and hence low quality audio.

Hello all. Could someone please point me in the right direction.. im interested in purchasing a 32″ lcd hdtv and i’ve narrowed it down to 2 of them. They are both 399.99 and are 32″ my only problem is choosing which company is better because the tv’s are nearly alike. The first is a panasonic vierra model number TC-L32C12 which has everything i want and a 10,000:1 ratio. The second tv is a Sony bravia 32″ that has everything i like also with a ratio of 8,000:1 the model for that one is KDL32L504 BOTH tvs are 720p

OKAY… here is where the question is lol. My first thoughts were Sony = BEST so i was naturally like okay i want the sony one. but after researching i’ve found that this particular model was on sale at all the stores for black friday… could it be possible that tv was made slightly cheaper or only for a limited time to sell for a cheaper price. Sony also sells another 32″ tv with a ratio 13,000:1 with the EXACT same specs as the previous model listed. I was 100 decided on this sony until i found out its been discontinued. This is my first lcd tv purchase and im wanting a quality television that will last me a long time thats why im going with a big name but right now im realllllly leaning towards that panasonic viera due to all the wonderful reviews it’s gotten.

All that being said… SONY, or PANASONIC folks?? ive always trusted sony and i do trust panasonic also but theres something about that sony model that makes me question it. ANY INPUT APPRECIATED!! Thank you so much
