Ok i just got a brand new 19 inch lcd vizio high def tv! i want 2 hook it up 2 my computer and use it?

I hook my wii up to my hd tv with the red white and yellow cords and my computer with an hdmi cable. On my tv in the menu I can set up the screen ratio and it also has video settings for Game and cinema and sports and some others… it also has manual setting where you can change the sharpness and contrast and that stuff. I have an lg hd tv

this is how to hook up your computer to your tv
this is what you need to do. Go down to the office store and get a VGA cable.
For everything else, get a Component gaming cable.
red, white, and yellow chords are not for Hi Def for the 360
the red, green, and blue are for hi def, depending on when you got your 360, it might have came with those hi def cables or not, if not you can buy them for about $14.99 at gamestop
The HDMI cord gives you the best picture and sound because it lets your 360 communicate with the tv digital to digital directly. The yellow AV jack is only for 480i not 1080 so it looks like crap. The component cable (green,blue ,red with a white and red sound) will also give you a HD picture but not quite the quality if the HDMI. Now if by monitor you want to also use it as a computer monitor you would use a VGA cable, the same as a regular monitor.
