It depends you have to check certain specifications it takes time to decide, check the contrast ratio the distance between pixels and other stuff, I’ll go for sony, but I have an LG 22” LCD HDTV and well for HD things it has come really handy but for things that are not in HD well you have to change some things to the image… good luck with this you can check what other people think or their luck with tv’s
I would recomend an LCD tv based on power consumption not on name.

show me any of those makes that consumes the same as or less power than a normal TV and i will recomend it.
here in Australia, suppliers are actualy pulling them off the shelf as people are not buying them much due to their power consumption being nearly double that of a normal TV
All are standard brands but you may go in for Sony Bravia
u should definitely go 4 samsung because its picture quality is better than bravia. it also has some mind blowing features like cutting the power consumption, viewing two channels at a time, facility to make it a PC monitor and connect several devices with it. i am using the same and am quite satisfied.

I have personally gone for Samsung.
sony has the best picture but all are safe bets.
I have been researching a new set for my living room and have found that the Samsung has the best picture. Try going to they do reviews on TVs.
I think samsung is nice it is best seller from amazon store
